ISO 14001 Environmental Management Services
GW Scientific is a progressive consulting firm, and as such we are always looking for new products and services to provide our customers that can help them remain competitive in increasingly global markets. Since 1996, many organizations all over the world began implementing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to help in better managing the impact of their activities on the environment. Although implementing this standard is voluntary, there has been an increased push from foreign and local organizations that require companies to have an ISO 14001 EMS in place as a prerequisite for conducting business with them. In addition, many companies are implementing the ISO 14001 standard in order to become proactive in improving their environmental performance and thus reduce costs associated with wasteful manufacturing practices, environmental remediation, and environmental fines and liabilities. At the same time they can improve their public image and become better corporate citizens by helping to preserve the environment.
